An Umbreon's Story- Chapter 6

The Unknown Espeon

"Thanks for dragging us, into your mess." Mizu growled, furry glazed on every word.
Denki rolled her eyes at her brother and sighed. "What he means to say is, you should probably scram."
Ly nodded. The Vaporeon had healed himself with Aqua Ring and Recover while Denki used Charge and absorbed the power from Akemi's Helping Hand. It had only taken a few seconds, enough for the 4 to hide behind a rocky cliff, shielding the advancing electric Pokemon from sight. Ly gazed around nervously, examaning the territory to find the best escape route. He didn't think having 2 battles in one day would be healthy for him.
Suddenly, the party turned towards Akemi, who had gasped. The little Eevee was peeking over their rocky barrier at the time, her paws standing on 2 legs and leaning up against the rock as she craned to see. She flicked her bushy tail, dirt and grime still plastered into it, in annoyance. "They're gone!"
"What?!" Denki replied, shocked. Her fur began to spark with her mood change and she looked over the rock to check it out for herself. Mizu looked over as well, but Ly saw him glancing back, as if he expected the Umbreon to bolt at any second. Ly pricked his ears in worryment. There best option was to hide for now, and then they could out run the patrols in the morning if they had too. Or at night, with Ly navigating the way for his normal type friend.
Denki growled in frustration and turned towards her brother, her opal eyes flashing. Ly noticed her gaze drift upwards slightly, as if checking the sky. He followed her glance and saw storm clouds, black wisps of impatient smoke, rising above their heads. Ly shivered as he felt a sprinkle of rain fall on him. There was static in the air, not uncommon for ThunderCharge Fields, but it seemed to be rising in power, as if the storm clouds had a mind of their own.
Maybe they do. Psychic Voice replied to Ly's wandering thoughts.
He flinched, almost forgetting about the Pokemon who ventured into his mind. So you mean....a Pokemon is controlling the storm clouds?
Precisely. Ly could picture the Voice nodding.
"We need to get out of here." The moonlight Pokemon replied. He hadn't said much after the battle, everyone too curious about the approaching Guardians instead. Denki decided to put everything behind them, at least for a couple hours.
Mizu opened his mouth to give a sharp retort when Akemi stopped him. "Ya. There's going to be a thunderstorm. I think the Guardian wants to attack us with Thunder." The Vaporeon gazed at her, Akemi who had a fearless gaze painted onto her dirt covered face. She seemed a little worried, but fear didn't seem to sink into her as it did for the water type. Was it because she was on Ly's side? The Umbreon was the one who started the battle anyway.
Mizu was pulled from his thoughts when he noticed a flash in the distance. "Guys, what's that?" He asked. Rain was pouring a bit harder now, sliding off his fish-like body and making him shiver with pleasure. He had no time to worry about that now though.
"Lightning?" Denki asked, squinting her eyes as she tried to identify the flash of light. The group was all looking out now, wondering what the light was. And it was getting closer too. It seemed to clear the pounding rain, pushing the aqua droplets to the side. "Whaa?" Denki started.
She had no time to finish. "Electro Ball!!! Everyone get down!" Ly cried. How they were able to launch such an accurate Electro Ball from a distance away he didn't know. Unless.....
Ly's eyes widened. The Electro Ball exploded above them, making Akemi shriek in surprise and Mizu cower down in fear. The whole top head of the rock was shattered to bits, lost in an electrical current of sparks and ember. Denki leaped onto the rock to absorb the shafts of electricity that were left, using her Volt Absorb ability. "Better get going." She murmured to the Umbreon and the Eevee. The 2 nodded. Rain was soaking Ly's pelt completely. His fur was battened down and his vision was blurry from the mist that acted like fog around them, a chilly barrier to their vision of sight. Ly stretched out his muscles and then flashed a glance towards Akemi, whose fur was soaked already. She shivered in the rain but nodded anyways, stepping towards his side a little.
The Umbreon took a glance around. He took in a breath. Then he darted from there safe haven and towards a rocky part of the territory, his paws beating against the hard rock of the electric territory. He wasn't sure if he was heading in the right direction. The mist was getting into his eyes, clouding his judgment of north and south, east and west. Akemi was depending on him, her striking green eyes flickering up to him over the passing seconds. Ly sighed angrily, his temper heating up. He began to run again, slower and more steadier this time. Thunder roared above him. He was starting to think, with a smirk on his face, that the Guardian (Electrent, did Mizu say?) and his crew had gotten lost in the beginnings of a storm. If only they had.
Ly could hear it before he could sense it. He could sense it before he could see it.
"Thunderbolt..." Ly mumbled through clenched teeth as he dodged to the side, the streak of yellow electricity blowing right past him. Akemi ducked and then started a Shadow Ball all in one swift motion. Ly growled to himself, then his eyes widened. "No wait, I have a plan!" He said. Akemi stopped the ball that flickered with popping dark shadows, worried and happy all at the same time. A plan made by Ly? That didn't sound good at all.
    "Halt!"
Ly stopped dead in his tracks, shook out his fur, and stood up a little taller. Akemi watched him with interest filling her. She glanced behind herself and noticed the faint outlines of Mizu and Denki approaching, the Jolteon leading with narrowed eyes shifted in their direction.
Suddenly, Ly took a small step back, gasped a little, and stared up at the speaker with wide golden eyes. Well, he had never seen and Electivire, but he knew what they looked like. Electrent just seemed bigger than most. Or made Ly think that Electivires were huge.
They were yellow Pokemon, and had black stripes on their hands and legs. He had massive hands, charger-like tail(s) and beady red eyes. The rain faded a little, turning to it's origional sprinkle of a misty breeze. Ly could actually see his opponets now. The 6 other Pokemon were guards, all electric type. There were 2 Luxray, 2 Richu, a Zebstrika an Ampharos, and a Magnazone. Ly thought furiously and then a handsome smirking smile appeared on his face, instantly shocking the party of Pokemon. And I was called a nickname becuase I COULDN'T lie. He thought to himself with growing pleasure. Even Akemi was impressed with his sudden calm and relaxed behavior. His attitude seemed to have changed entirely, even with the mob of electric Pokemon standing right in front of him, looming over the small dark type Pokemon like sky-scrapers.
"Good evening, Sir Electrent." Ly said in a very...handsome...? -manner of speaking. He sounded gentle and his face showed absolute tranquility although Akemi could sense a smirk hiding behind his disguise. The black Pokemon even bowed. The Eevee held back a laugh, almost choking on air as she stared at the display before her. "I am Lord Nightmare from ShadowShine Woods." He said to their staring gazes and narrowed eyes.
"Oh?" one of the Luxray questioned. Akemi folded her lips to keep from blowing their cover. She turned her head the very slightest to see Mizu approaching with a confused face, and Denki smiling with narrowed eyes at Ly's plan. The Eevee had to admit herself; Umbreons were very clever.
"Have you not recieved word of my upcoming arrival?" Ly asked the much taller Electivire. His face was plastered with fake bewilderment.
"Umm...no. And who did you say you were again?" Electrent asked. If he had not been so confused, his voice would have been very deep and commanding. But yet Ly didn't flinch, not even twitched a muscle in response.
The Umbreon sighed and flicked his ebony black tail in the rain. "I am surprised you don't remember my appearance. I am Lord Nightmare, don't make me say it again." Ly was hoping they'd believe it. His muscles were a little sore, and he hated fighting in the rain. He hated the rain in general and if he had to brawl, the weather would be on their side, their Thunders only taking a minute to charge with the charcoal storm clouds overhead. The Umbreon managed a proud smile, even with narrowed eyes brightening his face.
Denki stepped up, her face calm and collected, unlike Mizu who stared at her with furry at her ideas. It wasn't that he didn't want to help them. Well actually he didn't want to help them, but even more than that, he didn't want Denki to get hurt. She was still recovering.
"It's true, King Electrent." She said in a earnest tone that made Ly look at her in surprise. Akemi glanced at her with sparkling eyes at the Jolteon's helpfulness. "We guided Lord Nightmare here with his guard."
"That so called guard looks like she's five." the Zebstrika murmured rather loudly, sending a ripple of snickers among the crowd.
Akemi growled and lashed out her fluffy brown tail in disapproval. "Hey!"
"And you have come here to talk about the matter of...?" Electrent started. The electric type Pokemon stared at "Lord Nightmare." Ly was very...umm...small...?-compared to Electrent (he was small anyways.) To be frank, he wasn't very intimidnating. At all.
The Umbreon nodded. "Can we get out of this rain first?" Akemi nodded with him in agreement and Denki and Mizu flashed a silent glance between each other. The beating of the rain was the drum to fill in the silence that loomed before them. It was fading again, making faces more visible. Ly felt a bead of sweat run down his face.
Electric Pokemon have a high speed stat. Ly's Voice chimed in. The option of escaping is limited if you want Akemi to live. The Umbreon growled in his mind. He couldn't deal with Psychic Voice now though. Not with the Guardian of ThunderCharge Fields standing before him. Never would Ly have though that this situation would come upon him. He should have expected it though.
"Wait..." a Richu replied after a while, squinting her eyes and twitching one of her ears. She leaned a little closer to Ly, making the Umbreon narrow his eyes and stand up straighter. It took a lot of self-control to keep from biting her mousy head off. "I though Lord Nightmare would be bigger than this."
Ly flicked his tail and snarled. "You little-"
"And isn't Lord Nightmare an Absol?" the other Richu (the male one) finished with a hint of anger. The group all looked expectantly at Ly, and for a moment, the Pokemon seemed much more larger than he thought they were. 7. 7 Pokemon against him. There was only 1 of him. He didn't want Akemi to fight for fear of injury, even though she would be a lot of use. He was 98% sure that Mizu would not help him, and there was about a 50% chance of Denki joining the battle. If, think you might actually battle. The Voice said in it's annoying little tone that made Ly hold back a snicker. Suddenly, the ground felt a bit harder beneath his paws. He shifted above it. He was ready.
Ly opened his mouth as if about to say something, then lunged at Electrent with all his might. It caught everyone by surprise. Even Ly. The burst of adrenaline had not been planned for him. When he had meant to use a simple Quick Attack, the tackle had become a full out Giga Impact, leaving the party standing in awe. The rain seemed to have faded. But there were still thunder clouds.
Electrent was knocked to the ground. Ly did a flip over him and landed on the opposite side of the electric guards, panting heavily. He had just declared war. He knew they would loose; it was 7 against 4, only if Mizu and Denki joined in. Even then type diferencial was a big thing. Electric wouldn't work so good. Mizu might (cough* *would*) get creamed. Akemi hadn't evolved yet, which put her with lower stats. Ly had no offensive advantage. But his spirits didn't lower.
Surprisingly, Electrent was not the next to attack. It was the 2 Richus. They were magnificantly fast, and they bolted straight at Akemi, battle cries echoing off of them as their cheeks sparked with electricity. Akemi stood there, frozen in fear. These guards were fast. But Denki was faster.
The Eevee had not expected the Jolteon's help but it came anyways, like the notice of having breakfast in bed. Denki had used her Agility/Quick Attack signature move. Mizu joined in with Ice Beam, making Ly's eyes widened in surprise.
The Umbreon was still regaining his breath from the toll the attack had taken on him. His body felt like pudding, but at the same time he felt like fire was running through his veins. He watched as the Pokemon lunged at the 3, him being able to do nothing except for wait till his energy recharged. But before he knew it, he had an angry Electrivire and pair of Luxrays on his hands.
Thunder broke out from above, clashing the heavens down to earth. Lightning stuck. And this was no Thundershock. Because all Ly could do was watch as the 3 attacks of Thunder came raining on him.
He was momentarily paralized before all his nerves were screaming with pain. Ly's eyes widened and he heard the Luxrays smirk as they watched him stumble to his feet. "I'm way to strong to be Lord Nightmare." Ly mumbled under his breath, perking up the ears of his opponets. Electricity was consuming his body, flickering around him like gnats. The shock ran through every inch of him, harsh burns covering some parts. Ly drove in a breath. His gold eyes flashed away from their golden glint, and into a deep red. And that's when war broke out in the middle of ThunderCharge Fields.

It had only been about half an hour before Ly's brave little pack was on there last limbs. They were outnumbered. It all came down to numbers. Akemi was about to faint, and slowly Ly's energy was beginning to disolve. Ly didn't care about Mizu that much. Denki looked rather fine but her energy, like Ly's, was running out as she used her speed.
Suddenly, a shower of dust and smoke rained down on them, making Denki give out a horse cough. Her opponent, a Richu, had just tasted the blast of the Jolteons Electro Ball, when she was thrown back from the blast of the nearby explosion. Sharp rocks of her home dug into her prickly fur, making her wince as she skidded to a stop. One part of her made her want to pound that Umbreon in the ground for dragging her into this, while another part...no wait, that was it. She didn't know why she had decided to help. She didn't think she had another choice. Even if she backed out now, she didn't think she would be able to outrun her swift electrical foes.
Denki didn't move, her legs aching with exaustion. Rocks near her exploded in a clash of stone and black waves as a Shadow Ball errupted nearby. As she turned her head, ever so gently, she saw Ly, using move after move on Electrent like a demon was inside of him. His attacks were ever so strong, and he moved swiftly although his speed was lacking. The Umbreon had 3 Pokemon ganged up on him and as Denki squinted, she saw that Ly was winning actually. He was tough.
The Jolteon sat upright, only to feel a burst of pain surge through her. She gasped and her vision wavered until she was able to blink it away. The faint drizzle of the rain touched her fur like soft fingers of a hand.
"Good battling ya, Pine Cone." the Richu guard said, grinning with an evil glint in her eyes. Her cheeks sparked with power.
"Shadow Ball!" It was 2 voices at the same time. Ly and Akemi stood, panting as their balls of dark energy exploded around the mouse Pokemon. No sooner was Ly tackled to the ground with claws of a Luxray. The Umbreon could barely find time to use Moonlight. He was running out of health to use the healing move. Mizu seemed to be wearing out to, although he used long range attacks so he could predict wear the electric attacks would hit, giving him a slight advantage.
"Distraction. To high ground after dark." Ly mumbled to Akemi and Denki, before he bounded away, using a Shadow Ball to match an Electro Ball. Denki blinked her eyes as she stumbled on her feet. She was thinking that Ly had missaid something, because it was clearly in the middle of the day. Then she realized he was talking about his type.
"Hey, ya fat battery-head!" Ly called out to the Electivire. The King stared at the Umbreon, mouth open in shock. "Bet ya'v never been called that before." The Umbreon mumbled under his breath as he grinned and laughed. "Stop being a coward and fight me for once, instead of hiding behind your definition of a guard!" This made some eyes widen.
Ly winced in his mind, although his outides made no impression of his fear. He had just called a king a fat battery-head. Wow. And that wasn't even a good insult. That was like level 6 and a half on the insult scale. But it sure did get the Guardian angry. The Umbreon stumbled to the side, barely missing a Thunderbolt.
Electrent gritted his teeth. This Umbreon was impressive. He seemed to be cocky and unaware of the danger he was in. He used Electro Ball, firing the orb of sparks about five times. He saw Ly back away, making the electric Pokemon laugh. But not fore long. Because 5 Shadow Balls had just countered his attack, causing a rush of dust and debrie to fly upward, making some of his electric followers cough. He had not expected tresspasers to be so tough. The reason why wasn't as important to him as much was beating the crap out of the intruders.
Suddenly, a move that the king recognized as Last Resort shot strait through the mini explosions and straight at him. He was too bulky to move, so the thunder Pokemon stood there, panic in his eyes. The attack sent him to the ground, caughing and groaning as waves of pain travled down his body. "Electrent!" The Magnazone said in a series of beeps.
The Electivire got up after a couple of minutes, waiting to recover his strength and the smoke to clear. He was on the very edge of fainting, extreming sevier damage from the umbreon's fierce attacks. His patrol seemed to be regrouping, braking into coughing fits in the process. Blood was matted on his body and a stream of the sticky red liquid ran in puddles on the ground, unidentified on whose it was. Battles with the Guardian usually didn't last long but this unusual bunch seemed set on fighting till the end. It was quite irritating.
"Where the hell did they go?!" One of the Luxray's snarled angrily, trying to get up although the other Luxray was fainted completely. Electrent grumbled in confusion, still wiping dirt from his eyes, before he was able to take in the scene. And it wasn't hard to take it in. Because there was nothing there. Electrent's eyes widened. The intruders had escaped.

    "Well it's not my fault."
    "Then whose is it?!"
    "The Guardian's."
"If you hadn't hurt Denki then maybe they hadn't have spotted you!!! Why are you here in the first place?!"
"Why am I still talking to you..."
"You wanna say that again, Darky?"
    "You wanna kiss my a**?"
"At least I actually tried to battle!"
Ly stopped and glared at Mizu, his eyes still glowing their bright red hue. Even though that was how normal Umbreons were supposed to look, Ly looked geniually scary when his face lit up in a glare. The Vaporeon hobbled to a stop and narrowed his dark blue eyes, a dare to the dark-type. Ly growled slightly, a rumble rising in his throat. "You wanna say that again?"
"I wanna say a lot of things to you."
    "You're a-
"SHUT UP!!!" Denki burst out suddenly, sitting down with a thud on the rocky ground. She sighed angrily and shot both Eeveelutions glares that made ice seem warm. Ly looked at her with the same glare, growling unlike Mizu who was lashing his fish-like tail out. Ly and Mizu had been at it for the whole time they were walking. Akemi had tried to calm Ly down, but the Vaporeon had really heated his temper up, only adding fuel to the fire. Denki seemed to be a little more intimidating than the Eevee, her eyes shooting daggers. The 2 males had argued for about a half hour, same time they had been travaling. After they had escaped from the Guardian's grasp, they had reached higher ground, slowly rising in altitude where there were a few more trees and bushes, growing in abundancy the farther they went. They were moving painfully slow, their injuries holding them back to much to even walk properly. Even with Ly in the lead, he was by far the most injured, since he had taken on 3 opponents all at once, 1 being the Guardian. Even though his leg was sevierly injured, as well as gashes on his flanks, he was moving the fastest out of all of them. Mizu was covered in bruises from the electricity. Akemi had cuts and small scrapes that bled messy blood into her usually perfect brown fur. Denki was bringing up the rear, bruises, a nick in her ear, and a large scrape on her back being the only real damage. (The cut on her back was deep though.) They were all tired and sore too. The best the whole group could manage to travel at was a shuffle.
"Stop being so immature, both of you! Mizu, may I remind you that I attacked Ly so you shouldn't blame him for fighting back." Denki hissed. Mizu sat down with a grunt, looking away from her gaze. "And you!" Denki growled, turning towards Ly who matched her gaze with a stare that froze Akemi in place. "You haven't told us anything when we just saved your butts! Stop being so selfish, too." Ly snarled at her, making Denki step closer, both matched in a stare off that could freeze time if it wanted too.
Denki turned tail, finally, and muttered "boys." before she sat down to clean her wounds. Akemi glanced nervously at Ly, and then at the newcomers, Denki and Mizu. She trusted them but with Ly uncomfortable she couldn't seem to sit still. Denki growled and turned towards the Umbreon with a scowl on her face. "Stop acting so proud and be a leader!"
Mizu stood up to protest. "He's not the leader! I am."
    "You aren't acting like one."
"Why are we even following you?!"
"Stop it!" Akemi yelled, trying to mimic the firecness in Denki's voice that she had heard moments ago. The Eevee sat down with sigh, exausted. Every bone in her body seemed to ache, and although she was used to the rough terrain of jagged rocks and hard earth, the battle had pushed her far over her limit. Blood was tangled in her fur, although her injuries weren't as sevier as Ly's who had taken the worst damage of them all. And still the Umbreon managed a fast pace, one leg possibly broken.
"I don't think those yahoos are following us so let's just take a break and rest." Akemi started. She dropped her tail and focused her shining green eyes on Ly, who seemed to hold her gaze in a headlock. "PLEASE stop fighting. I can't stand it. I think we should be working together too." She gave Ly a pleading look, but the Umbreon turned away from her with silence on his tounge, stroding off until he reached a flat base of land, ways off from the group. Mizu mumbled something.....bad....under his breath, before he lay down ways away, but much closer than Ly.
The Jolteon sighed, her gaze flicking between the two males. She began to clean her wounds, or try, since she couldn't lick a spot without wincing. Akemi licked her own before she lay her head on her paws in drowsiness. This was not as fun as she thought it would be. Her adventure was definiatly exciting, but not the relaxing part. Was there even a relaxing part to adventures?
"Since Red Eyes is still hot, are you gonna tell me why you're in ThunderCharge?" Denki said abruptly, her voice calmer than Akemi expected it to be.
I though his eyes were gold.... Akemi pushed away the thought. She felt happiness suddenly come her way, and she started explaining the story, without much trouble. Denki listened, interested, and even Mizu raised his eyes and listened.
"Our parents kicked us out a while ago." Mizu said, sitting beside Akemi, their fur brushing slightly, making the Eevee hold back a flinch in surprise. "We're just wandering on our own, although we sort of claimed territory back there." Akemi listened while he told her about his life and his mom and dad (They were both Jolteons) and where they used to live, and what they had encountered on their journey.
The Eevee's eyes glittered with fascination and then she replied with a smile, "You should join us! On our journey to OverSet Springs! The more the merrier, right!"
Akemi turned at the sound of pawsteps, to see Ly, carrying a bundle of some sort of blue berry in his mouth before he dropped them in the sort of circle. Mizu stared up at the Umbreon with harsh eyes. Ly narrowed his own. "That's right. I poisoned them." He said sarcasticly. Mizu growled before he grabbed some, as well as the rest of the group.
Denki looked up at Ly. "Hey." The Umbreon turned to her, expressionlessly tense. "Weren't your eyes...red?"
Ly looked at her like she had sprouted wings. Indeed, his eyes were golden sunsets, still round and glowing. The Umbreon blinked and squinted as if that would make a difference. "Uhh....no?"
Denki murmured something and lay her head on her paws. Akemi glanced at her, then ran up to Ly, excitedness plastered on her face. "Can Denki and Mizu join us? I really want them to come!"
Mizu got up and shook his head. "I never said I was coming." Denki snorted. Mizu stared at Ly, no words spoken except for their eyes that seemed to murder each other. Then the Vaporeon looked at Akemi and smiled softly. "But I guess I will. Only since you're coming."
Ly looked taken back, a faint glimmer of hurt shining in his eyes before he turned away, stumbling painfully across the rocky ground. Denki rose and stretch, bringing up the rear. Mizu went in front of his sister, exchanging a nodding glance, as if trusting this decision. Akemi watched their unspoken language before Ly broke into her thoughts. "We need medicine." He sighed and glanced around. "Before dark. By then our cuts will be infected."
    "No duh." Mizu grumbled.
    "Shut up." Denki growled.
Ly ignored them and started to use Moonlight, before he gasped and fell to his knees, gasping for breath. "Ly!" Akemi whined, looking at him with wide eyes.
    "Wha-?" Mizu said.
Be more cautious. You aren't the only ones in ThunderCharge. The Voice echoed in Ly's mind. The Umbreon burst on the ground coughing, be for he rose unsteadily to his feet wincing. He launched a Shadow Ball at some trees with a grunt, making the tree collapse.
    "Crap..." Ly said.
    "What?!" Denki demmanded.
Ly panted and was surrounded by a pink light. He was slammed against some rocks. "Es...p..eon." he mumbled through clenched teeth. Though the blast was usually not enough to even cause a scratch on his high defense stat (sadly, it seemed as if the attacker was holding back, as if he/she was afraid to hurt him to much.), with his wounds this caused even more blood to seep out. Psychic moves usually don't effect dark types but Ly wondered it this Pokemon had an item that allowed it to use such moves. The psychic energy itself was extremely powerful.
Suddenly, a rustle in nearby bushes made the 3 jump in surprise. Psychic threw Denki backwards, and a purple/pink beam of energy shot towards Mizu, sending the Vaporeon in a frantic dodge. Ly growled and spotted the rosy fur of the attacker weaved behind the foilage. Ly sent this guy a message. Don't you DARE think of hurting anyone. If you do I will break every bone in your body, right now. Coward!
Surprisingly, there came a response. You seem to be in no condition to do so.
The voice was definatly psychic and defiantly Espeon. Male. Around Ly's age, but maybe a bit older, he couldn't tell.
"We'll see about that!" Ly said out loud, following the streak of fur that darted around trees. He used Dark Pulse. It was topped with a Hyper Voice but Ly recovered (not really) with Moonlight.
"We can't fight! Come out!" Denki called into the trees.
Mizu and Ly both shot her a furious glance that made her look at the 2 in surprise. The Vaporeon spoke first. "You can't just tell our enemy we're giving up! What if he's like a cannable or something!" Akemi made a face. Mizu rolled his eyes. "So are you going to invite him over to tea or something?"
The water type spun around and fired a Hydro Pump, hoping to scare the Eeveelution off. The flow of water was stopped in it's tracks by Psychic. Mizu sighed as he watched his powerful attack fade away to nothing. "Fine! Gimme a white flag." He murmured, sitting down in surrender. He was to tired to fight, or even argue.
The bushes rustled a few times before out popped their attacker. Espeon, indeed. Male. He was slender and tall, and the jewl on his head was glowing faintly. The Espeon stared at them in the expressionless way that Ly had often used. He wasn't even scratched. "Excuse me for attacking you. The scent was unfarmilliar." He said, blinking as he took in his surrounding.
"Who're you?" Ly asked, wobbling on his paws.
"By entering my territory, I propose to ask the same. You have 89% of a chance of loosing this fight. I suggest you explain." The Espeon said, slightly narrowing his eyes as he spoke in a soft tone, that seemed to flow like water, although it expressed nothing to expose his feelings. He didn't look much like a fighter although this Pokemon was probably smarter than them all. And with their wounds, they were on the verge of fainting. At least Ly was.
"I'm..." Ly started, panting. "Uhh.....umm....Ly...." He blinked.
"Mizu." The Vaporeon said, eyeing the Pokemon.
"I'm Denki, Mizu's sister." Denki replied, motioning towards her brother.
The Eevee stood up gleefully and bounded up to the new Pokemon. "I'm Akemi! We're traveling to OverSet Springs where I can evolve into an Espeon, like you! Ly was my partner and then Mizu and Denki decided to join us. Espeons are so cool! I want to be able to use pyschic powers." The Eevee said, smiling. The Espeon's expression didn't change although his violet eyes were focused on the normal type.
"My name is Artemis." The Espeon flicked his tail.
Ly nodded and swayed to the side. "Sure...Can...uh...help..." He murmured, coughing blood. Mizu was about to make a nasty comment when Ly stopped him with a golden eyed glare. "Shut up, Mizu! I took out both of those Luxrays and Electren was about to collapse by the time I was done with him!" Artemis's eyes flickered from the 2 in a slight interest. Electren?
"Ly?" Akemi asked, looking up at him with worry. "You don't look good."
"Thanks!" Ly snapped. "Just..what..I wanted...to hear." He blinked again. He started to walk into the thick of trees when he let out a cry as he put pressure on his leg. Ly blacked out.

***

Akemi is worried about you. Ly blinked, before he realized that it was the psychic Voice that had said that. The Umbreon shifted his bleary gaze to what it was already on; the moon. The orb floating peacefully on the sky. Ly silently used Moonlight, healing all his minor wounds although the humungo gash in his leg was still there (it felt infected. That's right. It FELT like it was infected.) his shoulder hurt too, as well as claw marks that ran down his flanks. Ly could feel leaves sticking to him. He grunted and tore them off, trying to wipe the goo off, feeling disgusted that someone had actually had to heal him.
    "Ly is awake!"
The Umbreon groggily got up, only to widen his eyes at the pain that he felt in his leg/paw (area) "Ow.." He mumbled, trying to form a smile for Akemi. "I think I might have stepped on a rock or something."
"Or you might have a giant wound on your leg, and a broken bone." The Eevee replied with a frown from ear to ear.
"Your leg was indeed broken, as the gash on the same leg caused by electrical currents. If not treated right, infection and death would have occurred with a 91% chance." Artemis said, walking up to the Umbreon with berries in his mouth. Ly took a look around and saw Mizu passed out nearby, and Denki snacking hungrily as she lay under a tree. They didn't seemed worried about how much a possible threat he could be. Everyone was relaxed...
"And you are...?" Ly asked, thinking he should know who this Espeon was. He seemed farmilliar. No he didn't. Did he? Wait....what?
The Espeon narrowed his eyes. "Artemis." he said slowly.
The Umbreon stared back. "Isn't that a girls name?"
"The name comes from the god of hunting. It is male as well female." Artemis glared before he yawned and lay down nearby, casting a glance at the Umbreon before retreating his gaze.
"Oh and umm...thanks...uh...ya..." Ly said awkwardly, laying back down. Artemis's eyes drifted towards him in acknowledgment. Ly didn't say anything more as he tried healing himself with Moonlight again. His fur sparkled for a second, making him feel totally calm. His rings turned a light shade of blue, sparkling in the moonlight like sunlight on the sea. Akemi stared at him and Artemis raised his head. Denki looked up at him with wide eyes.
Ly stared with his mouth open before his rings changed back to yellow with a quick flash or embaressment. He was allergic to attention. Artemis stifled another yawn. "The changing colour in your rings suggest that they are triggered to be shiny by happiness." Ly was almost positive that he had got that from mind reading.
    "Well they're not shiny now..."
"That is so cool!!!" Akemi said, staring at him with wide eyes that glazed over every inch of him as if he were a science expirament. "I've never seen a shiny Pokemon! Do it again!"
Ly sighed but managed a smile. "I don't get happy often."
Nor do I. Artemis said to him telapathicly.
Ly closed his eyes and smiled. He was starting to like this Espeon.

I said this was gonna be out a LONG time ago. Sorry for that, I don't keep my promises often...

This was a little longer than I wanted it to be. I was going to make it longer and then decided it was long enough already. We have some new characters in this!!! Electrent, who is totally utterally and completely not interesting.
And then Artemis!!!

Artemis belongs to- :iconoutcast15:

Artemis is beginning to become a favorite character. He is calm and settle and smart, and not rash and hasty like ervyone else. He's so calm, and not loud, which is why Ly doesn't hate him. YET........

There is tension between Ly and Mizu. I am going to skip the long summary since you just read this. *yawn* I'm tired. I'll add more to this description later.

Denki is also a favorite character, because I can sort of relate to her. Why do all the awesome characters come from other people?!!?!? WHY?!?!!?!

Denki belongs to :iconmarjar02:

Look back in the previous chapter if you wanna find out what the names mean.

Everyone but Denki and Artemis belong to me.

Pokemon belongs to whoever created Pokemon. A fat princess.....?
